Personal interview with the patient lasting 45-60 minutes in most cases. The interview includes a history of the presenting illness as well as a detailed medical and psycho-social history. The interview ends with an initial diagnosis and formulation of a treatment plan.

Medication Management Session (90862) |

15 minute appointment that is problem focused. Medications are monitored and managed. Limited supportive therapy is also provided and there is coordination of care with the patient’s psychotherapist and/or other physicians.

Brief Psychotherapy Session (90804/90805) |

25 minute appointment for psychotherapy that may be combined with management of medication.

Forensic Evaluation |

Formal psychiatric evaluation that is performed in the service of addressing a legal issue. This is not covered by insurance. These evaluations require considerably more time and the preparation of a formal written report. Services are billed at an hourly rate. A retainer must be paid in advance. |

Fitness for Duty Evaluation |
| |
Formal psychiatric evaluation that is performed at the request of an employer/employee. The evaluation is used to determine if an employee has the mental and emotional capacity to perform a specific job or duty. These evaluations require considerably more time and the preparation of a formal written report. Services are billed at an hourly rate. A retainer must be paid in advance. |
