DR. VAN DOREN

Dr. Van Doren is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He graduated summa cum laude from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas. He earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, and he completed his psychiatric residency at the University of Arizona Department of Psychiatry. While there, he served one year as chief resident.

Since 2001, Dr. Van Doren has dedicated his career to practicing psychiatry. He has held various positions in outpatient clinics and inpatient hospitals, including medical director at Hays Medical Center’s 15-bed inpatient geriatric psychiatry unit.

Dr. Van Doren is absolutely professional. He listens compassionately and always has my best interest in mind. I completely trust Dr. Van Doren.

I would highly recommend Dr. Van Doren to anyone seeking help for ADHD or attention disorders. He was very thorough and set me up with a treatment plan that was right for me. I live in a very rural area where I don't have access to a specialist so it was nice to see someone who understood my mental health needs. I am able to easily check back in with him and adjust my treatment plan. Highly recommend.

Dr. Van Doren is understanding, patient, and caring. His telepsychiatry worked perfectly for me since I work open to close everyday running my small biz and can't find the time to leave work. Finally found the right doc for me. I have been seeing Dr. Van Doren for several months and I am feeling so much better. He has found the combination of medications and has been working closely with my therapist. It really appreciate having the option to follow up online.
